i bought a set of shiny, sharp knives today. i also bought a food processor.
which item do you think wounded me grievously while making potato leek soup?
the food processor. in which the blades are nicely hidden inside the machine, and all i do is press a button.
not the knives. not the giant chef’s knife that i used to chop up 3 giant potatoes and 3 giant leeks.
no. as i poured freshly pureed soup back into the pot, the blades slipped out of the processor and bit me!
blood. lots of blood. luckily i am used to random injuries and successfully kept the blood out of the soup, and found a band-aid.
granted, it took like 7 years for the cut to stop bleeding.
sigh. i am full of grace.
